WEST POINT, NY | Rutgers-Newark women's track and field sets records at the West Point Twilight meet hosted by Army.
The Scarlet Raiders 4x100 relay team (Brya Byrd, Chidimma Igwe, Nadya Coleman, Zrreyah Moore) broke the Rutgers-Newark school record with a time of 47.61. In the 100m dash, Igwe finished third with a time of 12.42 while Coleman (6th, 13.12) and Nydia Jackson (7th, 13.31) rounded out the race for Rutgers-Newark.
Moore raced to a first-place finish, crossing the finish line two seconds before her closest opponent with a time of 56.59. Carmelle Alexis joined the relay squad in setting records as she broke the school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.28. Shanil Auguste finished 6th in the shot put with a toss of 12.14m.
