Women’s Soccer Selected 8th in NJAC Preseason Poll

PITMAN, NJ | The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) released the results of their 2024 Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday morning. The Scarlet Raiders were placed in the 8th spot, ahead of William Paterson and Ramapo College, last year's 8th and last place finishers, respectively.

No. 24 TCNJ narrowly edged out Rowan (receiving votes) for the top spot after taking the Profs down in the 2023 NJAC tournament championship, receiving six first place votes to Rowan's four. Montclair State was selected 3rd, followed by NJCU and Rutgers-Camden.

This year's dark horse is Kean University, who have been voted to finish 7th after finishing 9th in 2023. Only time will tell if the Cougars can make the jump as predicted by coaches around the conference.

After coming out on the wrong side of a very close playoff race last season, second-year head coach Nate Guagliardi will look to lead Rutgers-Newark back to the NJAC Championship Tournament. They kick off their season in the Brick City Classic against Eastern University at 6:00 PM on August 30th, right here on Frederick Douglass Field.
