GALLOWAY, N.J. – Rutgers University–Newark cross country closed out its 2025 fall campaign at the NJAC Championships hosted by Stockton University on Saturday morning.
For the Scarlet Raider men, Daniel Cortez paced the squad with a time of 31:29.7 over the 8,000-meter course, placing 36th overall. Carlos Gonzales Delgado followed in 40th place at 32:24.1, while freshmen Kyle Rolffot (43rd, 34:57.5) and Godswill Abasifreke (45th, 36:17.6) rounded out the team's top four. Wascar Olivero finished 44th in 35:24.1 to complete the scoring five, as Rutgers–Newark placed seventh overall with 208 points.
On the women's side, Angelyna Rodriguez led the Scarlet Raiders in the 6,000-meter race, placing 38th with a time of 26:57.1. Senior Morgan Marckres followed in 42nd place at 28:57.9, while freshmen Alleyanna Figueroa (51st, 41:49.4), Izzy Moss (52nd, 41:49.5), and Jade Ramirez (53rd, 51:11.4) rounded out the lineup. The Scarlet Raiders placed eighth as a team with 236 points.
