Newark, NJ – Rutgers–Newark cross country turned in a strong showing at the TCNJ Herb Lorenz Invitational, with both the men's and women's squads earning top-five team finishes. 

On the women's side, Rutgers–Newark finished fifth overall with 137 points. Angelyna Rodriguz set the pace for the Scarlet Raiders, placing 14th with a time of 22:07.50. She was followed by Morgan Markers, who crossed in 24th at 23:46.10 to secure crucial points and help solidify the team's top-five finish.

The men's team also impressed, earning a fourth-place finish with 131 points. Leading the way was Kyle Rolffot, who posted a time of 23:48.50 to place 25th overall. 

With both teams showing steady progress, the Scarlet Raiders continue to build momentum under second-year head coach Joel Williams as they head into the heart of the fall season.
