Newark, N.J. - Rutgers–Newark goalkeeper Shaina Sackett has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week after a strong defensive week for the Scarlet Raiders.

Shaina Sackett played the full 90 minutes in two contests this week, recording back-to-back shutouts. In a 2-0 victory over Sarah Lawrence, she faced 12 shots and made three saves. She followed that with a strong performance in a 1-0 win against Moravian, stopping five of the seven shots she faced.
