PITMAN, N.J. – Fejiro Akiri was named NJAC Field Athlete of the Week after opening her indoor track & field season with a strong showing in her first meet of the year.

Akiri placed fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.48 meters and added a 10th-place finish in the shot put, recording a throw of 11.12 meters. Her performances highlighted a solid start to her season and earned her conference recognition among the NJAC's top field competitors.
