NEWARK N.J. – The Rutgers-Newark men's volleyball team delivered a dominant performance on Tuesday night, sweeping Lehman College 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-17) inside The Golden Dome.

The Scarlet Raiders controlled the match from the outset, hitting an efficient .366 as a team while holding Lehman to just .039. Rutgers-Newark's offense was firing on all cylinders, totaling 40 kills and 13 service aces in the straight-set victory.

Rutgers-Newark set the tone early with a strong opening set, hitting .471 while limiting Lehman to negative hitting. The momentum carried into the second and third sets as the Scarlet Raiders continued to apply pressure from the service line and capitalize offensively to close out the sweep.

Logan Fernandes led the attack with a match-high 11 kills on an impressive .643 hitting percentage, while Graylon Ody was highly efficient, hitting .500 in the win. The Scarlet Raiders' balanced offensive attack kept Lehman on its heels throughout the match.

Joseph Novellino directed the offense with 25 assists, helping Rutgers-Newark maintain a steady rhythm across all three sets.

With the victory, Rutgers-Newark improves to 16-6 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Rutgers-Newark will return to action as they host a tri-match featuring No. 10 Southern Virginia and NJCU.
