PITMAN, N.J.– Freshman Harry Takyi delivered an impressive all-around performance to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors, leading Rutgers-Newark to a 3-1 record on the week.

Takyi made his presence felt across 14 sets, totaling 44 kills at a 3.14 per set clip. His week was highlighted by a dominant 16-kill performance against NJCU, where he posted an efficient .448 hitting percentage.

In addition to his offensive production, Takyi showcased his versatility with 11 service aces, 15 digs, and seven total blocks, contributing in every phase of the game.
