FRESHMAN (2011):  Regular shortstop who started in 25 of 31 appearances… hit .337 with 29 hits, a dozen RBIs and 19 runs scored… delivered two doubles and two triples to record a .407 slugging percentage… stole five bases in six attempts… second on the team with 62 assists while committing 19 errors in 110 chances… helped turn two double plays… hit safely in 17 games, ending the year on a 7-game hitting streak… went four for four with two stolen bases in a 7-1 loss to Richard Stockton (4/30/11) to end the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner at East Brunswick HS who helped Bears to a Central Jersey Group IV State title as a senior… All-Greater Middlesex Conference and GMC Red Division first team shortstop as a senior… Home New Tribune GMC All-Star and All-Red Division shortstop as a junior… Star Ledger third-team All-Middlesex in 2009 and 2010… Bears went 24-7 in 2010 after earning GMC and GMC Red Division titles during her junior season under head coach Kevin Brady… team’s Outstanding Defensive Player as a freshman… Nation Honor Society member who earned school’s Presidental Award for academic excellence.

PERSONAL: Plans to become a nurse… daughter of Tannie and Ted Wan… has a younger sister (Sheryl)… her cousin, Rolland Ying, competes for the Scarlet Raiders in cross country and track & field.
