SOPHOMORE (2011):  Played in 16 matches for the 13-8-3 Raiders including all three contests during the run to the ECAC Metro Championship… netted five goals for 10 points putting 56.5% (13-23) of his shots on goal… ranked third on the squad in goals (5) and points (10)… netted two goals in the Raiders’ 4-0 win over St. Joseph’s LI (11/9/11) in the ECAC Metro opening round… registered a hat trick with the game-winning goal in a 5-1 decision over Medgar Evers (10/3/11).

FRESHMAN (2010): Played in a dozen matches for the 12-9-1 Raiders… ranked third on squad in points (11) and goals (5)… put 52.8% (19-36) of his shots on goal… notched a hat trick with three goals and an assist in an 8-0 win over Purchase (9/9) in a match in which he posted season highs of 14 shots and seven shots on goal… netted two goals in a 5-1 win over York NY (10/18).

HIGH SCHOOL: Named first team All-Red Division, all-area and all-central as well as second team all-state after helping East Brunswick to a 15-5-1 record and a division title as a senior… tallied 60 points as a senior with 28 goals and four assists… four-year letterwinner who helped Bears amass a cumulative record of 59-22-2… played on Middlesex County championship squad which posted a 16-6 mark as a sophomore in 2007… honorable mention all-area after netting a dozen goals with two assists for the Bears team which posted a 14-5-1 record while reaching the county finals in his junior season… in club soccer, has netted 86 goals in three seasons, helping teams reach state semifinals once (2008) and state finals twice (2008 and 2009). 

PERSONAL: Plans to major in criminal justice at R-N… joins cousins Danny Naranjo and Brian Barrera as Scarlet Raider rookies this season… also joins high school classmate and club teammate Steven Fawzy as Raider rookie… son of Ruth and Joshua Alvarez… has nine brothers and sisters (Audrey, Edison, Gerson, Maggie, Laura, Abraham, Ruthie, Hannah and Joseph.
