Biography

NOTES: Impact goalkeeper who returned to school following a three-year break... gave R-N a veteran in the goal to stabilize a young defensive side.

SOPHOMORE (2008): Posted the second lowest goals against average (1.41) in R-N history, second only to Stefanos Kazantzis’ 1.32 in 1999... 84 saves was the 10th highest total in Raider history while his 4.42 saves per game ranks as the seventh best average... ranked fourth among NJAC goalkeepers in saves per match... started in 19 of the Raiders’ 21 matches, posting an 8-9-2 mark for the ECAC Metro Championship finalists... outstanding in post-season play... held high-scoring New Jersey City (11/15/08) to three goals while making five saves in a 3-3 double-overtime tie in the ECAC Metro Championship semfinals before making three straight saves in the shootout round to boost Raiders into the championship match... gave up just one goal in a double-overtime tie against #22-ranked William Paterson (11/17/08) in the ECAC Metro Championship title match before the Raiders were edged in the shootout round... made eight saves to keep R-N in a battle against Ramapo (9/20/08) before the Raiders fell 1-0 in the 109th minute... made a career-high 13 saves to carry Raiders to the final 16 seconds of the second overtime in a 2-1 loss to Kean (10/18/08)... made 10 saves to keep R-N in the fray in a 2-1 loss to Rutgers-Camden (10/15/08)... posted nine saves in a 2-0 regular-season loss to William Paterson (10/1/08)... notched shutout wins against Albright (9/3/08) and St. Joseph’s NY (9/13/08)... started but did not finish shutout wins over Mount St. Vincent (9/15/08) and Staten Island (10/6/08).

FRESHMAN (2004): Earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week notice while playing for LaSalle’s 14-8 squad.

HIGH SCHOOL: First-team all-state pick by the NJ High School Coaches Association and the Star Ledger in 2003 after leading West Orange HS to a 22-2-2 record and a Group 4 North championship... all-area player of the year as a senior... two time All-Northern Hills and two-time All-Essex County first team goalkeeper... helped Mountaineers to an 18-2-1 mark and a Northern Hills Conference title as a junior in 2002... Mountaineers posted a cumulative record of 70-16-3 during his four seasons, including back-to-back 15-6 marks during his freshman and sophomore years... also lettered twice in basketball.

PERSONAL: Older brother Kurtis played soccer at the University of Hartford (2000-04)... plans to major in history at Rutgers-Newark.
