PROFILE OF THE WEEK (February 2015)

JUNIOR (2013-14): Saw action in 20 games for the 20-9 Scarlet Raiders who reached both the NJAC and ECAC Metro semifinals… started first nine games of the season… averaged 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 points per game while totaling nine blocked shots, seven assists and six steals… came off the bench to lead R-N with eight rebounds and a pair of blocked shots in a 73-63 win over Stockton (2/1/14)… had a season-high eight points plus seven rebounds, three steals, an assist and a blocked shot in a 65-55 win over Southern Vermont (11/16/13)… connected on all three of his shots from the field to net seven points in a 67-64 loss to Neumann (12/14/13).

FRESHMAN & SOPHOMORE (2011-12 & 2012-13): Earned first team All-Garden State and second team All-Region XIX as a sophomore at the County College of Morris… named 2012-13 CCM Male Athlete of the Year… helped Titans to back-to-back trips to the Region XIX semifinals… freshman team finished 16-12 before sophomore team went 18-11.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned two letters in basketball at Mt. Olive HS… helped Marauders to a 16-6 record and a conference championship during his senior year.

PERSONAL: Born in Bosnia… son of Nermin and Alija Hodzic… his older brother (Almin) played for Dominican College (2009-11)… plans to major in criminal justice.
