PROFILE OF THE WEEK (February 4, 2009)

NOTES: Four-year letterwinner who amassed 551.5 points (2.70 average), 448 kills (2.19 average) and 175 digs (.86 average)... returned to R-N in the fall of 2009 to compete in cross country and track & field as a graduate student. 

SENIOR (2009): Second in points per set (3.84) and kills per set (3.29) from the right side… totaled 184 kills while adding 44 assisted blocks and 75 digs… posted 11 double-figure kills matches with a pair of double-doubles in 19 appearances… had 13 kills and 13 digs in a 3-0 win at NJIT (2/25/09)… recorded a dozen kills and 13 digs in a 3-1 loss to Sacred Heart (4/3/09)… had a career-high 18 kills on .452 hitting (18-4-31) in a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg (1/30/09)… named the MVP of The Golden Dome Classic after posting 13 kills, five assisted blocks and an ace in a 3-0 win over Mt. Olive (1/31/09)… piled up 20.o points with 16 kills, three aces and a pair of assisted blocks in a 3-0 win over NJIT (3/9/09)… hammered down 17 kills in a 3-0 win over NYU (2/18/09). 

JUNIOR (2008): Averaged 2.44 kills and tallied 202.0 points as the primary right side attacker... had five double-digit kills matches highlighted by a 16-kills, 18-point effort in a 3-1 loss to Springfield (4/1/08)... posted a career-high 22.5 points with 15 kills (on .444 hitting), four aces, three solo blocks and an assisted block in a 3-1 win over Sacred Heart ()2/5/08)... paced Raiders to a 3-0 win over NYU (1/22/08) with a team-high 14 kills plus five assisted blocks... also had 13 kills apiece in losses to Loyola-Chicago (3/29/08) and Ball State (4/4/08)... had nine double-digit points efforts... had seven digs in a match against NJIT (1/30/08), George Mason (2/27/08) and Sacred Heart (2/29/08). 

SOPHOMORE (2007): Played in 27 matches, ranking third in total kills (106) on the squad… totaled 136.5 points… hit .116 (106-74-275)… delivered nine service aces, came up with 45 digs and totaled 37 blocks (6 solo/31 assisted). 

FRESHMAN (2006): Saw limited action in seven matches... notched two kills in 3-0 win over Harvard (2/3/06) in the opening round of The Golden Dome Classic... posted two assisted blocks in 3-0 win over Sacred Heart (2/11/06). 

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-sport standout in volleyball and basketball at Academy of American Studies in Queens, NY ...was team MVP and second team all-city in volleyball ...Eagles went a combined 28-10 during his four seasons ...junior squad earned division title with a 9-1 record ...led division in kills and aces as senior ...captained both the basketball and volleyball squads ...two-time team MVP in basketball, leading team to a division title as a senior ...led team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots ...also played volleyball for Creole Big Apple and Stellar volleyball clubs.
