NOTES: Tremendous physical talent in the paint… solid defender and shot blocker who displayed much-improved offensive skills last season… has battled through surgeries on each knee to get to this year.

PROFILE OF THE WEEK FEATURE (Nov. 7, 2007)

SOPHOMORE (2006-07): Led the NJAC with 1.82 blocked shots per game… suffered a late-season knee injury after averaging 5.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game to help the Raiders to a 16-6 start to the season… Rutgers-Newark went 2-5 to close out the season without his inside presence… led team with a fine 53.8 field goal percentage (49-91)… posted a career-high 12 points by hitting five of eight field goal attempts plus nine rebounds in a loss to Elizabethtown (1/6/07)… had his only career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four blocked shots in a 76-52 win over The College of New Jersey (1/27/07)… rejected a career-high five shots in loss at New Jersey City (1/31.07)… narrowly missed a double-double with 10 rebounds and nine points in a 73-66 win over New York City Tech (1/15/07)… opened the season with an 11-point, 7-rebound, 4-block, 2-steal effort in a 79-73 win over Penn State Abington (11/17/06) in the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic… had a dozen multiple-block games, including five in a row to cap his season… he posted back-to-back 4-block games to start the season against Penn State Abington (11/17/06) and Connecticut College (11/18/06).

HARDSHIP SEASON (2005-06): Pre-season knee surgery forced Ajumobi to the sidelines for the season.

FRESHMAN (2004-05): Ranked second on the squad and fifth in the NJAC in blocked shot average, making 35 blocks in 27 games... averaged 3.4 rebounds and 2.2 points, earning 11 starting assignments... had nine points against NJAC foes New Jersey City (1/26/05) and William Paterson (12/8/04)... had 9-rebound games against William Paterson (12/8/04) and Emmanuel (1/3/05)... had 8-rebound contests against Kean (1/12/05) and New Jersey City (1/26/05)... blocked shots in 17 of his first 18 games... had nine multiple-block efforts led by four each against Emmanuel (1/3/05) and Kean (1/12/05).

HIGH SCHOOL: Helped Roselle Catholic to an 18-6 record as a senior, gaining recognition as the team's "most improved player"... two-year letterman for the Lions under head coach Patrick Hagan.

PERSONAL: One of eight Rutgers-Newark students featured in the university’s admissions brochure... born in Nigeria... played high school basketball with Raider junior forward David Cherry.
