SOPHOMORE (2010): Second on R-N with a 2.82 kills per game average while starting in 17 of the 24 matches in which he played… third on squad with 248.5 points (3.40 ppg)… totaled 206 kills, 18 aces (.25 apg), 83 digs (1.14 dpg) and 45 blocks (4 solos, 41 assisted)… notched a dozen double-digit kill matches led by a career-high 23 kills on .300 hitting with two aces, eight digs and 33 service receptions without an error in a 3-2 loss to Juniata (4/1)… hit .435 with 15 kills in a 3-0 win at Sacred Heart (3/24)… tallied 19.0 points with 14 kills, two aces and a career-high six assisted blocks in a 3-0 win over George Mason (4/3)… totaled 18.5 points with 14 kills, two aces and five assisted blocks to go along with eight digs in a 3-2 win over IPFW (3/19)… posted a career-high 13 digs while adding a dozen kills, two assists, two aces and three assisted blocks in 3-1 upset of Penn State (3/27).

FRESHMAN (2009): Saw action in seven matches, averaging 3.21 kills, 3.54 points and 1.64 digs per set… capped season with 16 kills, nine digs, four assisted blocks and an ace in a 3-1 loss to Sacred Heart (4/3/09)… hit .391 (12-3-23) while collecting six digs and two assisted blocks in a 3-1 loss to Ball State (3/20/09)… notched eight kills, six digs and an assisted block in a 3-2 win over Sacred Heart (2/27/09)… also had eight kills in a 3-0 loss to Ohio State (3/21/09).

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner, helping Colegio Ponceno to a league championship in his senior season... the Crusaders finished second in the league during his junior year... coached by Carlos Matos and Jorge Vazquez... three-sport letterman who was school’s Athlete of the Year as a freshman and a senior... lettered as a freshman and senior in both basketball and track & field.

CLUB: Named to the 2008 Junior Olympics all-tournament team in 17-Open competition while helping the Pitirres Attack club to a fifth-place finish... under coach Fernando Rivera, the squad posted a 56-7 record with an East Coast Volleyball Championship and three tournament victories in Puerto Rico.

PERSONAL: Undecided on major field of study... has an older brother (Francisco) and a younger sister (Veronica)... comes from an athletic family... his father (Eduardo) played college basketball and a year of professional basketball in Puerto Rico... his grandfather (Arnaldo Hernandez) and an uncle (Arnaldo Hernandez Jr.) also played collegiate basketball before reaching the professional level in Puerto Rico.
