Biography

SENIOR (2014): Notched 35 starts in the outfield with one on the mound baseman for the 13-24 Scarlet Raiders… batted .292 with 40 hits and a team-leading 26 RBIs… made nine relief appearances with two saves and a 4.00 ERA… led Raiders with 14 extra-base hits (nine doubles, a triple and a team-high four home runs) to finish with a .460 slugging percentage… drew 15 walks to post a .359 on-base percentage… had a team-high three sacrifice flies… stole four bases in as many attempts… made just two errors in 91 chances to finish with a .978 fielding percentage… struck out 10 and walked 12 in 18 innings on the mound… hit safely in 25 games while recording 12 multi-hit games… started season with a 10-game hitting streak… during a 2-day, 3-game set of games against Wesleyan (3/15-16/14), went eight for 16 with a home run, four doubles, seven RBIs and five runs scored… went five for eight with four RBIs, two doubles, a triple and four runs scored in a doubleheader split with New Jersey City (4/5/14)… drove in two runs with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly while drawing two walks and scoring three times in an 11-3 win over John Jay (3/11/14) when he struck out the side in the top of the ninth… slammed a 3-run homer while going two for four with a stolen base in a 23-7 loss to Rowan (4/12/14)… posted a save with an inning of shutout relief in a 6-3 win over  Occidental (3/23/14)… sent Richard Stockton (4/19/14) down in order in the bottom of the ninth to notch a save in a 5-3 win.

PROFILE OF THE WEEK (March 7, 2012)

JUNIOR (2013): Appeared in 38 games with 37 starting assignments in the outfield… hit .259 with 37 hits, 13 RBIs and 27 runs… stroked 11 doubles, a triple, and three homeruns to finish with a slugging percentage of .413… drew 13 walks to post a .337 on-base percentage…went one for two with an RBI and a triple in an 11-9 loss to Franklin & Marshall (3/03/13)… went two for four with a double in a 6-3 loss against Ithaca College (3/16/13)… scored twice, had two RBIs, doubled, homered and drew three walks in an 8-5 win at Occidental College (3/23/13)… went three for four with four RBIs and a homer in an 11-8 loss to Alvernia University (4/16/13).

SOPHOMORE (2012): Appeared in 37 games with 34 starting assignments… hit .284 with 33 hits, a team-high 23 RBI and 17 runs… led the Raiders with 11 doubles, adding a triple and two homers to up his slugging percentage to .448… drew 13 walks to finish with a .367 on-base percentage… was flawless in the outfield with no errors in 68 chances… notched four assists… hit safely in 25 games with six multi-hit efforts… went three for four with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in a 16-0 romp over Hampden-Sydney (3/13/12)… had a 2-run double and a 2-run homer to produce all of the Raiders’ runs in a 5-4 loss to Johns Hopkins (3/4/12)… went two for three with two doubles, two RBI, a run scored and a walk in a 5-0 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (3/18/12).

FRESHMAN (2011):  Started in 30 games in the outfield and made three relief pitching appearances for the 23-19 Scarlet Raiders who shared the ECAC Metro Championship… saw action in 36 games, hitting .245 while posting a 1-0 pitching record with a 7.36 ERA in 3-2/3 innings… developed into starting leftfielder... had 11 extra-base hits among his 27 (nine doubles, a triple and a home run) to push his slugging percentage to .373… drew 11 walks to register a.315 on-base percentage… made just one error in 43 chances in the field… hit safely in 14 games with nine multi-hit outings… had a pair of doubles while going four for seven in a 10-8, 13-inning win over DeSales (4/20/11), getting the pitching victory by giving up on run on two hits while striking out two and walking two during the 11th and 12th innings… went three for five with three RBIs, a run scored, a double and a triple in a 5-2 win over Rutgers-Camden (4/17/11)… drove in three runs with a home run, a double, a walk and a run scored in a 9-5 win over Richard Stockton (4/7/11)… went five for nine with three runs scored and a pair of RBIs in an NJAC doubleheader sweep of New Jersey City (4/2/11).

HIGH SCHOOL: Third-team All-Group IV and first-team All-Essex County and All-Iron Hills Conference player at Livingston HS… played in the NJSIAAA Senior All-Star Game… three-year letterman who helped Lancers to three straight sectional appearances and a cumulative record of 56-26… junior team went 21-5 and won the Greater Newark Tournament… senior squad went 18-11 and reached the section final game.

SUMMER LEAGUE: Played four seasons of American Legion baseball for Livingston Post 201 under Raider assistant coach Lou Politan.

PERSONAL: Undecided on his major field of study at R-N… son of Joanne and James Napolitano… has a younger brother (Vincent).
