SENIOR (2014): Saw action in 17 games with 11 starting assignments at catcher for the 13-24 Scarlet Raiders… batted .146 with six hits, seven RBIs and four runs scored… delivered a double and a home run to finish with a .244 slugging percentage… drew four walks to post a .217 on-base percentage… made just one error in 53 chances behind the plate (.981) while throwing out four of 13 players attempting to steal… went three for five with an RBI single and a double in a 23-7 loss to Rowan (4/12/14)… hammered a 3-run, ninth-inning home run in a 15-13 loss to New Jersey City (4/5/14)..

JUNIOR (2013): Appeared in 26 games with 23 starting assignments behind the plate… hit .214 with 15 hits, seven RBIs and five runs… stroked four doubles to finish with a slugging percentage of .271… drew 12 walks to post a .353 on-base percentage… made four errors out of 142 chances… threw out eight runners in 38 chances… went two for four with an RBI and scored once in an 8-5 win over Occidental College (3/23/13)… went two for four with an RBI in a 3-2 win at New Jersey City (4/06/13).

SOPHOMORE (2012): Appeared in 14 games with eight starting assignments behind the plate… flawless on defense with no errors in 66 chances… threw out three of 10 runners attempting to steal and totaled nine assists… hit .107 with three hits, an RBI and a runs scored… drew four walks to notch a .219 on-base percentage… had an RBI single and walked twice in a 9-7 loss to Johns Hopkins (4/14/12).

FRESHMAN (2011):  Started in 25 game while making 32 appearances at Susquehanna which finished 14-26 overall… hit .286 with a .363 on-base percentage… regular catcher who threw out a dozen runners in 34 chances… made just four errors in 149 chances behind the dish while helping to turn two double plays.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Three-year letterwinner at Columbia HS earning All-Essex County and All-Iron Hills notice as a senior… two-year team captain… senior squad went 18-10, earning the Cougars third straight state playoff berth and reaching the Greater Newark Tournament finals… junior squad went 16-10, finishing second in the county playoffs and advancing to the third round of the state playoffs... honor roll student.

PERSONAL:  Plans to major in business at R-N… son of Marisa and Charles Tamayo… has three brothers (older brother Matt and younger brothers Sean and Kevin).
