 NOTES:  Member of the first two NCAA D-III tournament teams in Rutgers-Newark history (2010 & 2013)… four-year letterman who help Scarlet Raiders to a cumulative record of 73-37 overall and 36-21 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference… totaled 1,027 points and 470 assists while starting in 70 of 104 games… averaged 9.9 points and 4.5 assists for his career while connecting on 75.7% (306-404) of his free throw attempts… finished with 95 3-point field goals, hitting 32.8% of his shots from beyond the arc.  

SENIOR (2012-13):   Assist leader (81) and No. 2 scorer (12.3 ppg) for the 20-8 Scarlet Raiders who reached the NJAC Championship game and earned the second NCAA D-III Championship Tournament berth in program history… led NJAC in free throw percentage at 84.0% (68-81) while ranking seventh in assists (3.5 apg) and steals (1.7) in the 10-team league… knocked down 33 of 95 (34.7%) 3-point jumpers while connecting on 41.6% (91-216) of his shots from the floor… named NJAC Player of the Week (2/10/13) after leading Raiders to back-to-back league wins over league-leading Ramapo and Rowan… netted double figures in points in 14 games, reaching the 20-point plateau four times… totaled 283 points, 65 rebounds, 30 steals and a dozen blocked shots in 23 games… dished out multiple assists in 18 games with a season-high eight plus 17 points and four steals in a 71-66 road win at William Paterson (12/5/12)… had multiple steals in a dozen games notching four steals in an 82-50 win over Hunter (12/30/12)… started the season by earning the MVP award at the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic… poured in 21 points, hitting all eight of his free throws, while adding a season-high nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in a season-opening 74-58 win over Brooklyn College (11/16/12) in the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic opening round… posted 20 points, six assists and two steals while scoring eight points in the final 2:41 to rally the Raiders to the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic title with a 78-73 decision over Washington & Lee (11/17/12)… tallied 21 points in a heart-breaking 87-78 loss at Richard Stockton (1/26/13)… connected on seven of 12 shots from the floor and four of five from the free throw line to total 20 points with seven assists in a 77-60 win at Montclair State (12/1/12)… hit four of seven 3-point shots and all four of his free throws on his way to 18 points in a 72-69 upset of Ramapo (2/6/13) while adding six rebounds, four assists and three steals… totaled 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a 73-69 win at Rowan (2/9/13)… netted 15 points with four assists and a steal in the NJAC tournament championship game as the Raiders fell 67-65 to Ramapo (2/22/13).
 
JUNIOR (2011-12): Ranked third in the NJAC in assists per game (5.4) for the 14-13 Raiders who earned NJAC and ECAC Metro playoff berths… started in each of the 26 games in which he appeared… led Raiders in assists (140), steals (34) and blocked shots (19)… connected on 81.9% (95-116) of his free throws… dropped in 26 treys… tied for highest single game assist total among NJAC players for the season with 13 in just 22 minutes in an 86-47 win over Penn College (11/19/11)… had at least one assist in every game with 15 contests with five or more… reached double figures in scoring a dozen times… opened the season with a season-high 26 points plus six rebounds, two steals, two assists and two blocked shots in a 74-68 loss to Medgar Evers (11/15/11)… narrowly missed a double-double with 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a 69-67 loss at William Paterson (1/11/12)… made all 10 of his free throws while totaling 17 points, five assists and three steals in a 73-69 win over New Jersey City (1/25/12)… made 10 of 13 free throws on his way to 13 points, four assists, two blocked shots and four rebounds in a regular-season ending 55-51 win over New Jersey City (2/15/12) which clinched an NJAC playoff berth for the Raiders… made all nine of his free throws on his way to 20 points, eight assists, five rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot in an 85-74 loss to Ramapo (2/11012)… totaled 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a season-high four steals in a 73-72 overtime loss to Randolph-Macon (11/18/11)… dished off nine assists in an 84-62 win over Neumann (12/17/11)… notched eight assists in back-to-back wins over Moravian (12/5/11) and York NY (12/7/11).

SOPHOMORE (2010-11): Second team All-NJAC after quarterbacking Scarlet Raiders to a 19-8 record and an unexpected run to the ECAC Metro Championship game… led NJAC in assists (173) and assist average (6.4) while coming up with the top two single-game assists totals in the 10-team league for the season… averaged 12.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game… netted double figure points 18 times, reaching the 20-point plateau six times… had three or more assists in every game, twice reaching double figures… connected on 33.7% (28-83) of his 3-point shots… poured in a career-high 31 points (including two free throws to force overtime and the final four points of the third overtime) in an epic 118-116 win at New Jersey City (12/1/10) while hitting three of four 3-pointers, dishing out nine assists and making three steals… handed out a career-high and NJAC season high 13 assists in just 29 minutes in a 95-63 win over CCNY (11/23/10)… doled out 11 assists in an 85-66 win over TCNJ (12/4/10)… capped season with 24 points and seven assists in an 84-71 loss to Stevens (3/6/11) in the ECAC Metro Championship title game… totaled 25 assists in three ECAC Metro Championship games while scoring 47 points, grabbing 13 rebounds and making seven steals… netted 25 points in a regular-season ending 66-48 win over Montclair State (2/12/11)… hit four of eight 3-point shots on his way to 24 points, four assists, four steals and five rebounds in a 74-71 win over Kean (1/15/11)… narrowly missed a triple-double with 11 points, nine assists and nine rebounds in a 77-58 win over City Tech (11/19/10) in the opening round of the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic… posted 21 points, nine assists, six rebounds and four blocked shots in an 89-79 win over Hunter (12/8/10)… opened ECAC Metro Championship play with a dozen points, nine assists, seven rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals in a 75-68 win over Staten Island (3/2/11)… totaled 11 points, nine assists and three steals in a 69-54 ECAC Metro Championship semifinal upset of NYU (3/5/11).

PROFILE OF THE WEEK (December 2, 2009)


FRESHMAN (2009-10): Physical, quick point guard who led Raiders in assists while playing as the top back court reserve for the 20-8 squad which gained the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament berth… averaged 2.7 assists (76 total) while playing in all 28 games… earned starting nods seven times… tied for third on squad with 27 steals… shot 41.3% (45-109) and 68.0% (34-50) from the line while connecting on 27.6% (8-29) of his 3-point attempts… led the team in assists in a game a dozen times… scored in 23 of 28 games, reaching double digits four times… also grabbed at least one rebound in 23 games, pulling down multiple rebounds 17 times… had 20 multiple assist games, failing to dish off at least one assist just five times… posted a career-high and team individual best nine assists in an 81-58 win over SUNY Cobleskill (1/20/10)… notched seven assists in a 102-67 win over Medgar Evers (1/18/10)… netted a career-high 14 points to go along with five assists, three rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot in an 86-73 loss to Richard Stockton (2/24/10) in the NJAC semifinals… turned in an 11-point, 5-rebound, 4-steal effort in a 53-33 win over Rutgers-Camden (12/5/09)… made three of four 3-point attempts for all of his points in an 89-52 win over Penn State Harrisburg (11/22/09)… connected on eight of 12 free throws on his way to 10 points and two assists in a 61-57 loss to William Paterson (1/13/10)… was perfect for the night making all four field goals (including one 3-point attempt) and his only free throw while adding four assists and two steals before fouling out in a 77-73 loss at Baruch (12/7/09)… collared a career-high six rebounds while adding eight points and five assists in a 71-63 loss to TCNJ (1/16/10).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 1,000-point scorer at Queen of Peace HS where he helped the Golden Griffins to a 21-3 record as a senior.

PERSONAL: Undecided on major field of study at R-N... son of Yolanda Muhammad... has one brother, Greg, and a sister, Rashida... enrolled at R-N in the spring of 2008.
