Rutgers-Newark Athletics

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-sport athlete in basketball, volleyball and track at Kingsway Regional HS… lettered three times in basketball for the Dragons, earning a coaches award for his dedication to the team… team went 27-4 during his sophomore year, reaching the state title game… Dragons were 25-5 during his junior year, claiming a second straight Group 3 title before fall in the state semifinals... also earned a letter in track as a freshman and letters in volleyball as a junior and senior.

PERSONAL: Plans to become a dentist… son of Eva and Marion Tention… his father played football and basketball at Morgan State University (1982-84)… has an older brother (Marion Jr.)… chose R-N because of the value of a Rutgers degree… likes the diversity of the R-N campus.
