NOTES:  Four-year letterman and three year regular during the winningest stretch in Rutgers-Newark men’s soccer history… in 64 matches, totaled 13 points on two goals and nine assists… put 50% (31-62) of his shots on goal.
 
SENIOR (2014): First team All-NJAC and third team NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region midfielder for the 16-6-0 Scarlet Raiders who finished second in the NJAC regular season (7-2-0) and posted the first NCAA D-III Championship victory in program history… Capital One All-Academic District 2 team… third team NSCAA College Division Scholar All-East... totaled four points on a goal and two assists… put 50% (12-24) of his shots on goal… started in 19 of the 22 matches in which he appeared… netted the game-winning tally in a 2-1 victory at Merchant Marine (9/3/14)… got an assist on the game winner off of a corner kick in the Raiders’ 2-1 double-overtime victory at William Paterson (10/15/14)… assisted on the Raiders’ final goal in a 3-1 victory at Haverford (9/7/14).

PROFILE OF THE WEEK (October 28, 2014)

JUNIOR (2013): 2013-14 Rutgers-Newark Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year… key offensive member for Scarlet Raider team which finished 17-6-1, reached the NJAC Championship match for the first time in program history and earned the program’s first NCAA Championship at-large berth… started in a dozen of the 21 matches in which he appeared… notched assists in wins over Merchant Marine (9/4/13) and DeSales (9/8/13) for his only points of the season… put seven of his 18 shots on goal (38.9%)… put three of his four shots on goal in the Raiders’ 3-1 loss to Roger Williams (11/16/13) in the NCAA tournament.

SOPHOMORE (2012): Played in 17 matches with 10 starting assignments for the 14-8-1 Scarlet Raiders… ranked second on the squad in assists with five… scored one goal to total seven points… put 58.8% (10-17) of his shots on goal… netted the opening goal in a 3-2 win over William Paterson (10/20)… posted a team individual high with three assists in a 6-0 win over St. Joseph’s LI (9/12)… assisted on the match-tying goal in the 83rd minute to force overtime in a 5-4 win over New Jersey City (10/10)… assisted on the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Kean (10/27) in the opening round of the NJAC tournament.

FRESHMAN (2011): Played in four matches for the 13-8-3 Raiders… two of his three shots on goal… started in 5-1 win over Medgar Evers (10/3/11).

HIGH SCHOOL: Was on the honor roll in high school.

PERSONAL: Finance major... parents are Francisco and Maria Abreu… older sister, Liana Abreu (2008-11) is the all-time leading women’s goal scorer for the Scarlet Raiders…was a member of the Newark City Champions in 2011.
