NEW YORK – Scarlet Raider junior Amanda Northrup posted a 6-3, 6-1 win over the No. 4 singles court, but Baruch stopped Rutgers-Newark, 8-1, in a non-conference match at the U.S. Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens.

Northrup toppled Alexandrea Vamanu for Rutgers-Newark's lone victory, but junior Kelly Chung tried for another singles win.  She earned an 8-6 tie-breaker in her first set before falling to Alina Bero on the No. 6 court, 6-7, 7-5, 7-4 in a marathon battle.

Rutgers-Newark (1-6) hosts Ramapo at 4 o'clock on Monday in a New Jersey Athletic Conference showdown on The Golden Dome Courts.
