CAMBRIDGE, MA – Rutgers-Newark hit over .400 for the second straight time to sweep past Harvard in an EIVA Hay match in the Malkin Athletic Center, 30-22, 34-32, 30-20.

Jeff Zornig stoked the attack with 41 assists as the Scarlet Raiders (3-9, EIVA Hay 3-0) hit a season-high .435 to post their second straight league win. Rutgers-Newark hit .432 on Tuesday in a 3-0 sweep of NJIT.

Eduardo Hernandez had 13 kills apiece while sophomore outside hitter
Marcin Midura notched 11 kills in the well-distributed Raider attack.
Mulligan hit a crisp .600 (13 kills, 1 error, 20 attacks) and added a match-high three aces. He and senior middle blocker
Jon Keller, who had six kills on .556 hitting, each got in on seven blocks as Rutgers-Newark dominated the net, 10.5.-2.0, in blocking.
Midura added two aces and Keller, one, as the Raiders forged a 6-2 edge in that category.
Senior outside hitter Gil Weintraub paced the Crimson (0-8, EIVA Hay 0-1) with a dozen kills and eight digs.
Rutgers-Newark travels two blocks to take on neighborhood rival NJIT for the second time in a week on Tuesday. First serve is set of 7 p.m. for the EIVA Hay match.
