MADISON, NJ – Rutgers-Newark swept past FDU-Florham, 9-0, on the FDU Tennis Courts to post its second straight win.

The Scarlet Raiders (5-3) did not drop a set to the Devils (0-1) who were playing their first match after several postponements caused by rainy weather. Rutgers-Newark notched its fourth shutout victory of the season.

Camille Sunga rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Michelle Berkenstock on the No. 3 court to push her record to 8-3. The duo notched an 8-0 win on the top-flight doubles court.

Yara Elsekhely made her varsity debut by downing Kim Martin, 6-1, 6-1 on the No. 6 singles court.

Ashley Lawrence rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win over Megan Scherer in second flight singles while sophomore
Michelle Kvitnitsky powered her way to 6-0, 6-2 win over Lindsey Martin on court No. 4. Sophomore
Agnes Bangayan downed Jennifer Epstein, 6-1, 6-0.
Lawrence and Bangayan took an 8-1 decision over Epstein and Berkenstock in second flight doubles while Kvitnitsky and Elsekhely rolled to an 8-2 win on the No. 3 court.
Rutgers-Newark hosts Stevens at 4 p.m. on Wednesday on The Golden Dome Courts.
