NEWARK, NJ – Sophomore third baseman-catcher
Monica Liotto homered in each game and drove in seven runs as Rutgers-Newark swept past Baruch College, 8-4 and 11-3, on Alumni Field.

Liotto finished the day by going six for seven with her second and third home runs of the season, a double and the seven RBIs for the Scarlet Raiders (11-25) against the Bearcats (13-17) in the non-conference clash.
IN GAME ONE, Liotto went three for four with a two-run double in the three-run third inning and a game-breaking three-run home run in the sixth to cap the decisive four-run rally.
Freshman shortstop
Carrie Wan got the game-winning hit in the to start the Raiders' sixth, ripping a lead-off pinch hit triple to center field before scoring on a throwing error from the outfield.
Sophomore first baseman
Monica Bagan went three for four with an RBI single in the third while freshman catcher
AJ Affholter collected two hits.
Freshman righthander
Liane Drastal (5-6) picked up the victory by scattering 10 hits while striking out two and walking no one.
IN GAME TWO, Liotto went three for three with a two-run home run to left centerfield in the fourth which was followed immediately by a solo blast by Bagan over the right centerfield fence. It was Bagan's second home run of the week and third of the season.
Senior second baseman
Emily Ibarra went three for three with an RBI single in the three-run second inning, a double to right centerfield to ignite the four-run fourth and an RBI single in the four-run fifth when the Raiders earned a mercy-rule finish.
Affholter went two for three with an RBI double in the third while freshman rightfielder
Tina Zaggia went two for two.
Wan's bases-loaded single to left ended the game.
Sophomore righthander
Angela Riscinti (5-11) picked up the win by striking out eight and walking none while allowing eight hits. Three of those hits, including a pair of doubles, came in the top of the first before Riscinti settled in to dominated the rest of the way.

Jessica Zelaya and
Ashley Angeli on Senior Day tomorrow in the season-ending New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader against Richard Stockton. Game time is 1 p.m.
