NEWARK, NJ – Rutgers-Newark powered past a short-handed Baruch College team, 9-0, on The Golden Dome Courts to improve to 3-1 on the season. The Scarlet Raiders did not drop a set in the contest.

Michelle Kvitnitsky battled to a 7-5, 6-1 win over the Bearcats' Amanda Naraine on the No. 4 court.
Memon and Sunga downed Anna Komar and Marianna Kogan, 8-1, on the No. 1 doubles court while Lawrence and sophomore
Dhaneya Kumar stopped Naraine and Lisa Kurner, 8-1, on the second flight.
It was the third shutout victory for the Raiders in four starts. Baruch (0-3) forfeited on singles and one doubles contest.
Rutgers-Newark travels to The College of New Jersey on Sunday for a noon New Jersey Athletic Conference match against the perennial league champions.
