The Scarlet Raiders (3-7, NJAC 0-6) battled but fell just short of posting a league win in their final NJAC match against the Pioneers (5-4, NJAC 2-3).

Michelle Nagamine posted singles victories on Senior Day as they joined
Dhaneya Kumar in their final home appearances on The Golden Dome Courts.
Kvitnitsky earned a nail-biting 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-5) double tie-breaker victory over senior Mary Skretkowicz on the No. 2 singles court to up her season record to 6-4. Nagamine bounced back for a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 win over junior Kristy Daubert on the fourth flight as the Raiders split singles play.

Maggie Tchorzewska rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 10-5 win over sophomore Caitlin Pariso on the No. 5 singles court and teamed with freshman
Maria Larrea for the Raiders' only doubles victory – an 8-4 decision over Pariso and sophomore Charisse Smalls on the third flight.
In the end it was the play of Pioneer freshman phenom Brittany LaBruna that spelled the difference. The rookie teamed with Daubert for an 8-0 win over Kvitnitsky and junior

Rutgers-Newark is at FDU-Florham at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday for its final dual match before capping the season at the NJAIAW Championship at Drew University this weekend.
