CAMBRIDGE, MA – Freshman outside hitter Colin Ferguson paced Rutgers-Newark with eight kills, but Harvard posted a 3-0 EIVA victory in the Malkin Athletic Center.

Freshman outside hitter Travis Mintzer totaled 6.5 points on four kills, an ace and two blocks while rookie middle hitter Cody Chidsey chipped in four kills.

The Crimson (16-8, EIVA 9-4) got eight kills each from Nick Madden, Kyle Rehkemper and Will Chambers in a balanced attack.  Setter Rob Lothman distributed 38 assists as Harvard hit a torrid .493 (42 kills, nine errors, 67 attacks) while roping a dozen aces.

The win completed Harvard's home-and-away regular season series against the Raiders.

Rutgers-Newark (4-19, EIVA 0-12) completes its season next weekend by visiting league-leading Penn State at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saint Francis at 2 o'clock on Saturday.
