Yara Elsekhely put up the best battle no the No. 1 doubles court, but Ramapo College rolled to a 9-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference win at the Ramapo Athletic Center.
BOX SCORE Popow and Elsekhely were edged, 8-6, by Carly Agrifolio and Vasundhra Gandotra in top flight doubles, but the Roadrunners (5-1, NJAC 2-1) did not drop a set in posting their fifth straight win.
Elsekehly lost an 8-4 match to Katrina Biss on the No. 4 court and freshman
Nandini Gami fell, 6-3, 6-2, on the fifth flight to Micala Demchak in the closest singles decisions.
Scarlet Raiders (0-4, NJAC 0-2) have three 4 p.m. road matches in five days next week. Rutgers-Newark is at William Paterson on Monday and Stockton on Wednesday for league contests before visiting Brooklyn College on Friday.
