NEWARK, N.J. (September 1, 2016) – The Rutgers University-Newark women's tennis team opened the 2016 season Friday on The Golden Dome Courts, falling in a doubleheader to The College of New Jersey and Ohio Northern University.
The final score of both matches was 9-0 but head coach
Tom Battaglia was pleased with the progress his team is making.
"Both teams we played today were excellent," said Battaglia. "Our consistency is improving in a big big way, and I don't think the scores indicate the how hard and how well we played. We just need to keep grinding along and the wins will starting coming."
