NEWARK, N.J. (January 18, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Newark basketball teams will host New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) rival Montclair State University Saturday night in The Golden Dome in a doubleheader sponsored by Horizon. Fans, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to come to The Dome and support the men and women as they look to climb up the league standings.
Horizon will be giving away gift bags (while supplies last) at the end of the women's game and before the men's game, and they will also be sponsoring halftime competitions at both contests.Â

The Scarlet Raider women get things started at 6 p.m. and the men follow at 8 p.m.
Â
The women are looking to build some momentum from a mid-week rout at NJCUÂ while the men hope to bounce back from their loss to the Gothic Knights.
Last time these teams squared off, both teams traveled to Montclair on December 2. The women attempted a late second half rally but fell 54-43 despite 19 points from junior
Faith Ashby. On the men's side, the Scarlet Raiders competed in an incredibly close back-and-forth affair that featured eight lead changes in the second stanza. Unfortunately, despite a season-high 24 points from junior
Tyler Ofray, the visitors eventually dropped a 73-66 decision.
