NEWARK, N.J. (September 14, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Newark women's tennis team faced a quick turnaround, after playing last night under the lights, hosting TCNJ on The Golden Dome Courts for a New Jersey Athletic Conference showdown this morning.
The visiting Lions were able to dispatch the Scarlet Raiders 9-0 as the home side falls to 0-3 (0-1 NJAC) while the visitors improve to 4-0 (3-0 NJAC).
TCNJ, the reigning NJAC Champions for the past 21 years, rolled through both doubles and singles play. The Lions blanked the Raiders 8-0 in all three doubles matches and 6-0, 6-0 in five of the singles matches before the competition concluded with a superset at no. 4 singles.
"This contest gave us a good look of what the league champions play like." said Head Coach

Rutgers-Newark returns to action tomorrow as the team plays its third match in three days against non-conference foe John Jay on The Golden Dome Courts at 12 p.m.
