Tuohy & Kumar Earn NJAC Weekly Honors

EWING, NJ | The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) has named Justin Tuohy NJAC Player of the Week and Arvind Kumar NJAC Defensive Player of the Week following their split with #11 Juniata on Sunday.

Tuohy picks up the first NJAC Player of the Week of his career after another career-high performance. Tuohy tallied an incredible 58 assists in a five-set match against 11th-ranked Juniata on Sunday which was enough to break his career-best 54 he set in the first match of the season against NJCU. In the two combined matches, he also secured 16 digs, one solo block, four service aces, and a pair of kills.

Kumar earned his first NJAC Defensive Player of the Week award after recording 19 digs over the course of the two matches. Kumar was also extremely efficient on the offensive side and collected 27 kills. He also tallied a solo block and two aces over Juniata.

The Scarlet Raiders will return to the court on Saturday, March 13 when they head to Immaculata, PA for another Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) match up which starts at 11:00 am.
