Men's Indoor Track & Field Participates in the Seahawk Shootout

STATEN ISLAND, NY | The Rutgers University-Newark men's indoor track & field squad raced at the Seahawk Shootout at Ocean Breeze this afternoon. 

Rendys Amilcar gave the Scarlet Raiders their highest finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.44, good for 38th. Diego Gomes and Jaheim Wimberly-Cole finished .02 seconds apart, recording times of 7.63 and 7.65, respectively. Nicholas Branco finished 60th with a time of 8.37 in the same event. 

In the 600m event, Cedric Augustin topped the Scarlet Raiders with a finish of 22nd and a time of 1:27.45. Crossing three seconds later was Emmanuel Boone with a time of 1:30.22. Justin Lee and Joshua Akinsolu recorded times of 1:32.18 and 1:39.51, respectively. In the mile, Vincenzo Marinaro placed 38th with a time of 5:12.31. 

Zachariah Muyingo placed 20th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.60. In the long jump, Jordan Hartley recorded a distance of 6.28m while Muyingo leaped 6.09m. Rendys Amilcar picked up where he left off last season and took 8th in the triple jump with a distance of 13.50m.

Hunter Eldrige took 21st in the shot put with a toss of 10.70m while Sean Deuer took 20th in the weight throw with a hurl of 11.55m. Dylan Woods-Tomczak finished 23rd, recording a distance of 10.31m.
