#9 Men's Volleyball Selected 1st in NJAC Preseason Coaches Poll

PITMAN, NJ | The #9 Rutgers University-Newark men's volleyball program was selected to finish 1st in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Preseason Coaches Poll on Tuesday afternoon, receiving all four votes for the top spot.

The Scarlet Raiders won the NJAC last season as well as the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) without losing a conference match. This season, the Scarlet Raiders will look to repeat that performance in both the NJAC and the CVC. Rutgers-Newark hosted the opening round and the quarterfinal of the NCAA Tournament last season and bowed out of the tournament against Wentworth.

This season Rutgers-Newark brings back four All-Americans in Andrew Zaleck, Daniel Quay, Justin Tuohy and Derek Au. With Robert Long and Arvind Kumar leaving, the Scarlet Raiders will have some holes to fill as they look to pick up where they left off last season.
