Abushanab & Amilcar Record Top Finishes at the DeSchriver Invitational

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA | Adam Abushanab won the Mile as the Scarlet Raiders had a great day on the track at the 23rd Annual DeSchriver Invitational on Sunday. 

Rendys Amilcar grabbed 5th in the 55m dash with a time of 6.73 while Cedric Augustin took 20th after clocking a time of 7.04. Following Augustin was Jordan Hartley (21st) and Jaheim Wimberly-Cole (22nd) with times of 7.06 and 7.07. 

Amilcar once again gave himself a top-5 finish, only this time he took 2nd in the 200m dash with a time of 23.17. Nicholas Branco finished 27th with a time of 26.48. Amilcar continued his great form in the 400m dash as he clocked himself a 3rd place with a time of 51.74. Augustin also ran well, taking 4th and finishing with a time of 52.46. Diego Gomes took 13th with at time of 56.04. 

In the 600m Emmanuel Boone took 3rd with 1:28.40 and Justin Lee finished 6th with a time of 1:32.37. Joshua Akinsolu ran a time of 1:36.91, good for a 10th place finish. Abushanab took 5th in the 800m with a time of 2:13.53 before finishing first in the mile with a time of 4:36.99. 

Samuel Rosas finished 22nd in the shot put with a throw of 11.21m which was followed up by Hunter Eldrige's 10.94m. Dylan Woods-Tomczak took 10th in the weight throw with a distance of 12.76m while Sean Deuer and Marcus Hinds recorded throws of 12.35m and 9.85m.
