Muyingo Places 7th at STAC Invite

STATEN ISLAND, NY | The Rutgers University-Newark men's track and field squad raced at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Invitational held at Ocean Breeze on Friday afternoon.

Andrew Mark raced to a 26th place (9.53) in the 60m hurdles while Samprit Bajracharya took 30th (10.49). Christopher Williams took 26th in the 500m (1:11.24).

Daniel Cortez gave the Scarlet Raiders a 72nd place finish in the mile run with a time of 5:30.97. Diego Gomes highlighted the 400m dash with a 16th place finish (51.62) and was followed by Choice Dousuah in 38th (53.37). Kanye Stevens recorded a 43rd place finish (2:26.05).

In the field events, Hunter Eldrige tossed his way to a 23rd place (11.93m) finish in the shot put while Azor Chareyre took 54th (6.40m). Sean Deuer placed 19th with a distance of 12.21m in the weight throw. Zachariah Muyingo long jumped his way to 7th with a distance of 6.66m.
