Eric Recchia Named ABCA All-Region

GREENSBORO, NC | The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings announced its 2024 NCAA Division III All-Region teams on Tuesday morning.

The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.

Eric Recchia was named NCAA Division III Region IV All-Region Third Team for the 2024 season. Recchia, who was named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) First Team All-NJAC at season end, now adds another award to his name. Recchia had a career year across the board in 2024. He led the Scarlet Raiders with a .358 batting average and 9 home runs along with 35 RBIs. In the field, Recchia was perfect with 80 catches, 78 putouts, and two assists. When on the bases, Recchia was once again flawless with six stolen bases in six attempts. He also led the team with a 1.031 OPS, including a team-best 57 hits.
