STATEN ISLAND, NY - The Rutgers-Newark women's indoor track & field team competed at the Ocean Breeze Track Facility for the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite on Friday afternoon.
On the track, Love Baker sprinted to a time of 10.06 in the 100 meters. Morgan Marckres recorded a time of 11:41.96 in the 3.000-meter run.
Shanil Auguste placed sixth in the women's shot put. It was her mark of 11.50 meters (37-8.75) on her third attempt that was her best distance of the day. Auguste followed up with another solid performance, this time in the weight throw, where she recorded a mark of 13.78 meters (45-3.00) good enough for a seventh-place finish.
