CAMDEN, N.J. - The Scarlet Raiders entered the matchup against the Bearcats looking to make a strong showing, and they got off to strong start ending the first quarter tied at 19–19. Rutgers-Newark matched Baruch in energy and execution early, keeping the pace even.However, the momentum shifted in the second quarter. Baruch began to pull away, outscoring Rutgers–Newark 24–12 in that period. The Bearcats' offense found rhythm while the Scarlet Raiders struggled to maintain the same efficiency. By halftime, Baruch pushed to a double digit lead.
In the third quarter, Rutgers–Newark attempted to regroup. They out-scored Baruch 16–14 in that stretch, showing flashes of life and effort to climb back. Yet the deficit was still double digits at the end of the quarter.
The fourth quarter saw Baruch close things out strongly, outscoring the Scarlet Raiders 22–16, and ultimately securing a 79–63 win.
Quanajah Felder led the Scarlet Raiders with 27 points and added five boards while Sanaa Brodie chipped in with 10 points.
Rutgers-Newark will look to regroup as continue their road trip with a game at Keystone on Tuesday, November 18th.
