Rutgers-Newark Finished Regular Season at Ramapo

MAHWAH, NJ | The Scarlet Raiders wrapped up their final regular season meet of the year, with standout performances from Andrew Mark and Zachariah Muyingo.

Men's Results

Zach Muyingo dominated the triple jump. He placed first with a new PR of 14.27 meters, well over half a meter higher than second place. The number was good enough for 18th best in Division III.

Meanwhile, AJ Mark took home first place for the men's 400m hurdles. He finished with a time of 56.18 seconds and a four second cushion ahead of his closest competitor. Adam Abushanab picked up second place in the 1500m race, missing out on the top spot by a mere third of a second.

Rutgers-Newark also fielded a team for the 4x100m relay, for which they finished third place behind Ramapo and Stockton.

Women's Results

Despite the fact that Zrreyah Moore did not run, there were still some notable performances. J'nyyah Young qualified for the women's 100m final after running a 13.53 in the preliminary heats, and ended up with a fifth place finish.

The women also raced in the 4x100m relay, picking up a third place finish with a time of 1:04.96.

Lastly, Naina Patti took up the triple jump, securing another third place for the Scarlet Raiders with a distance of 9.26m.

Rutgers-Newark has one final meet, which is the 2025 AARTFC Outdoor Championships. This will take place in Williamstown, MA on May 14th and 15th.
