Mahwah, NJ — The Rutgers–Newark men's volleyball team earned a straight-set road victory over Ramapo College on Wednesday night, taking the match 3–0 to continue its early-season momentum.

The opening set was tightly contested as both teams traded points down the stretch, but the Scarlet Raiders stayed composed in key moments to pull out a 28–26 win. That confidence carried into the second set, where Rutgers–Newark used consistent offense and strong defense to edge Ramapo 25–23 and take a commanding 2–0 lead. In the third set, Rutgers–Newark found its rhythm, building separation midway through the frame and closing out the match with a 25–19 decision. 

Aleks Kolodziej and Alex Solodky each led the Scarlet Raiders with 11 kills on the night, providing consistent firepower throughout the match. Freshman Duncan Sturt continued to steady the offense, directing the attack with 32 assists.

The Scarlet Raiders will look to keep the momentum rolling this weekend as they compete in a tri-match against Mt. Aloysius and Vassar College.
