PATCHOGUE, N.Y.– The Rutgers‑Newark men's volleyball team dominated on the road, defeating St. Joseph's University‑Long Island in straight sets, 25‑23, 25‑19, 25‑15. The Scarlet Raiders improved to 7‑3 on the season behind a balanced attack
Late kills from Adrian Marke, Aleks Kolodziej, and Alex Solodky allowed the Scarlet Raiders to squeak out a tight first set before taking the second set 25‑19 behind solid serving and strong defensive play. The Raiders capped the match with a dominant third set, hitting .500 and recording 16 kills to secure a 25‑15 win.
Kolodziej and Solodky led the way with 12 kills and 5 digs apiece. Michael Suarez added 8 kills, 11 digs, and 4 aces, while Duncan Sturt orchestrated the offense with 40 assists and 8 digs.
The Scarlet Raiders jump right back in action tomorrow night traveling to Widener for another non confernce matchup.
