NEWARK, N.J. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its 2026 Baseball Academic All-District Teams as Rutgers-Newark's Joseph Bernardo, Gilroy Prial, RJ Kernan, and Daniel Fedorco earned recognition for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and academically.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must meet CSC's academic and athletic requirements, including maintaining a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average while making significant contributions to their team's success.
Bernardo put together an outstanding season at the plate, leading the Scarlet Raiders with 50 hits while driving in 27 runs over 147 at-bats.
Prial also played a key role in the Rutgers-Newark lineup, collecting 35 hits and 15 RBIs throughout the campaign.
Kernan delivered a strong offensive season, recording 36 hits and 25 RBIs while providing consistent production in the middle of the order.
Fedorco rounded out the Scarlet Raider honorees after tallying 29 hits and 22 RBIs during the 2026 season.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with Academic All-America selections scheduled to be announced later this month.
