SOPHOMORE (2013): Appeared in 10 games with seven starting assignments… hit .211 with four hits, four RBIs and six runs… stroked a double and a home run to finish with a slugging percentage of .421… drew five walks to post a .400 on-base percentage… went three for four with a double, a home run and scored three times in an 11-9 loss to Franklin & Marshall (3/03/13).

FRESHMAN (2012): Started in 16 of the 23 games in which he appeared at shortstop or second base… worked his way into the starting shortstop slot by hitting .259 and ranking second on the squad with 43 assists… helped turn five double plays… totaled 14 hits and scored 10 runs… stroked four doubles to up his slugging percentage to .333... drew 11 walks to finish with a .406 on-base percentage… had three multi-hit games… went two for four with a pair of doubles in a 6-1 loss to Ramapo (4/19/12)… went two for two with an RBI and a run scored in a 16-0 win over Hampden-Sydney (3/13/12) in California… went two for three with a double and a stolen base in a 9-1 loss to Rutgers-Camden (4/14/12).

HIGH SCHOOL:  Three-year letterwinner at Freehold Township HS, earning All-North Shore A Conference laurels as a senior… helped the Patriots to a Monmouth County title as a sophomore… received school’s Dan Buckrewicz Scholarship, the Goldwater Award and the athletic leadership award.

PERSONAL:  Plans to major in accounting… son of Fran and Paul Goldberg… has an older brother (Bryan) and older sister (Jess)… born in Neptune, NJ.
