Rutgers-Newark Athletics

FRESHMAN (2010): Played in 21 games while earning 13 starting assignments as an outfielder or designated player… hit. 182 with eight hits and seven RBIs… notched a double and a triple to push her slugging percentage to .250… drew three walks to post a .250 on-base percentage… drove in two runs in a 6-5 win over Mass-Liberal Arts (3/17)… posted two RBIs in an 8-0 win over Wells College (3/27)… had an RBI triple in a 6-5 loss to Skidmore (3/14).

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year letterwinner at Burlington Township HS… played DP, third base and outfield for the Falcons during her sophomore and junior years.

SUMMER LEAGUE: Has played six summers of softball with the Willingboro Warriors.

PERSONAL: An academic sophomore who enrolled at Rutgers-Newark in the fall of 2009 after attending nearby Bloomfield College as a true freshman… did not participate in intercollegiate athletics at Bloomfield… an accounting major who transferred to R-N because of the national reputation of its business school… daughter of Darlene Gleaves, who Quiana lists as the most influential person in her life… biggest thrill was hammering a home run in AAU play.
