SENIOR (2013): Started in all 11 appearances as a pitcher… went 2-5 with a 5.11 ERA in 75.2 innings of work… struck out 58 and walked 26… allowed only two runs off of six hits with eight strikeouts and walked one in a complete game 3-2 win over Chapman University (3/21/13)…allowed only two earned runs off of seven hits with eight strikeouts and three walks in 8.2 innings in a 5-4 win against Montclair (3/30/13).

JUNIOR (2012): Notched 65 strikeouts for the second highest single-season total in R-N history… third team All-NJCBA selection who was twice NJAC and once ECAC Metro Pitcher of the Week… workhorse starter on the R-N staff who finished four of the 11 games in which he started… posted a 3.29 ERA with a 6-2 record in a dozen appearances… recorded two shutouts while pitching a team-high 68-1/3 innings… walked just 22 while allowing 25 earned runs… named NJAC and ECAC Metro Pitcher of the Week after pitching a 9-inning complete-game shutout in a 2-0 win over No. 21 Chapman (3/10/12), giving Panther 2-time all-America pitcher Brian Rauh his first career loss after 24 consecutive victories on the mound… hurled a complete-game, 5-hit shutout of New Jersey City (4/1/12) in a 4-0 win.

SOPHOMORE (2010):  Second-team All-Garden State Athletic Conference at Bergen C.C., helping the Bulldogs to a record of 20-18… posted a 3-0 record with a 2.10 ERA in 55-2/3 innings pitched… gave up just 13 earned runs while striking out 64 and walking 22.

FRESHMAN (2009):  Helped Bergen C.C.  to a 15-14 record… posted a 4-3 record with a 2.94 ERA in seven games… struck out 53 and walked 17 while giving up 15 earned runs in 46 innings.

HIGH SCHOOL:  All-Bergen County pitcher at Glen Rock HS as a senior in 2005, posting a 6-1 record to help the team to a state championship game… three-year letterman who went 4-0 as a junior for the Panthers… also participated in basketball in high school.

PERSONAL:  Enrolled in R-N in the spring of 2012… pursuing a degree in criminal justice… son of Jane and Ike Van Vliet… has a younger brother (Tommy)… played summer ball for the Ramapo Valley Giants (2007-11) and the Staten Island Tide (2011), helping the Tide to a 2011 league title.
