Rutgers-Newark Athletics

SENIOR (2013): Appeared in 11 games with three starting assignments as a pitcher… went 1-2 with a 3.94 ERA in 29.2 innings of work… struck out 12 and walked 14 while allowing no home runs… allowed only one earned run off of four hits while striking out one and walking one in 3.2 innings in a 7-3 loss to DeSales University (4/02/13)… allowed no runs off of four hits with one strike out and no walks in 4.1 inning in a 6-3 loss to Richard Stockton (4/20/13)… allowed no earned runs off of 10 hits with two strikeouts and no walks in 6 innings in an 8-2 loss to Rutgers-Camden (4/24/13).

JUNIOR (2012): Appeared in four games with a pair of starting assignments… went 0-1 with an 8.40 ERA in 15 innings of work… struck out four and walked 11 while not allowing a triple or a home run… capped season by holding Rowan (4/28/12) to just three runs on seven hits over 6-1/3 innings in relief in a 9-4 loss.

SOPHOMORE (2011):  Appeared in seven games, earning one starting assignment for the 23-19 Raiders… had a 1-0 record and no saves while posting an 11.45 ERA in 11 innings of work… struck out four and walked 10 while allowing 17 hits and 14 earned runs… notched a win in his only start, going 3-2/3 innings while striking out three and yielding four runs, four walks and four hits in a 19-11 victory over Lehman (4/19/11).

FRESHMAN (2010): Pitched in four game with one starting assignment… struck out five and walked seven in 9-1/3 innings of work to post a 7.71 ERA… won his only start with pre-planned four-inning stint in a 20-9 win over Baruch (4/11), striking out four against two walks, three hits and one earned run… blanked Redlands (3/14) while getting two outs in a 31-0 Raider loss.

HIGH SCHOOL: Senior captain and two-year letterwinner at Bridgewater-Raritan HS… Honor Roll student.

SUMMER LEAGUE: Played for the Connie Mack 19-U American Legion team in 2009.

PERSONAL: Plans to major in accounting at Rutgers-Newark… son of Lou Ann and Robert Kwiatek… older brother Keith played baseball at Kean and Ramapo (2005-2009).
