Jessica Zelaya had three hits apiece, but Montclair State powered its way to a 13-6 and 9-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep on Alumni Field.

After the Red Hawks regained the lead with two runs in the fourth, Raider junior second baseman
Emily Ibarra hammered a home run to centerfield to make it 6-6 at the end of five.
But after getting an unearned run on two errors in the sixth, Montclair State used five hits, two walks and an error in the seventh to break open the contest.
Freshman righthander
Angela Riscinti (6-9) took the loss, giving up 14 hits and seven earned runs while striking out one and walking seven.
In the nightcap, Montclair State freshman pitcher Jamie Miller hurled a 4-hitter, allowing an unearned run and no walks while striking out two. Raider freshman

Bagan and Aita singled in the second inning with Bagan scoring Rutgers-Newark's only run on a fielding error.
The Red Hawks (14-10, NJAC 4-4) scored eight runs in the first two innings, putting the game away with a bases-loaded, one-out hit in the bottom of the fifth.
Rutgers-Newark hosts SUNY Old Westbury on Wednesday at 5 p.m. on Alumni Field in a non-conference twinbill.
