POMONA, NJ – Sophomore Ashley Lawrence won her singles and double matches while top-flight freshman singles player Bushra Memon posted her first New Jersey Athletic Conference victory as Rutgers-Newark fell to Richard Stockton, 6-3.

Lawrence earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over the Ospreys' Krystle Bendijo on the second flight before teaming with freshman Michelle Kvitnitsky for an 8-5 decision over Brittany Hall and Christina Ledwith on the No. 2 doubles court.

Memon upended Stockton's Kristianne Fernandez, 6-4, 6-4 on the No. 1 singles court.

Rutgers-Newark (1-3, NJAC 0-2) faces Brooklyn College at 4 p.m. on Thursday on The Golden Dome Courts.
