After teaming for a win on the No. 2 doubles court, they each took their singles flights as the Scarlet Raiders (3-5) snapped a 3-match losing streak. The Lightning fell to 3-4.
Kumar won the second-flight singles with a 10-8 pro set victory over senior Ravnit Bhatia while Nagamine downed freshman Cristie Perarlta, 6-2, 6-1, on the No. 4 court. Kumar and Nagamine earned an 8-0 win over freshman Danielle Buckley and sophomore Neralda Zuniga in doubles play.

Yara Elsekhely stopped sophomore Marisela Camano, 6-2, 6-0, on the No. 3 singles court while freshman
Enajee Bolden was a 6-2, 6-3 winner over Buckley at the sixth flight as the Raiders claimed four singles decisions.
The freshman tandem of
Angela Ho and
Maria Nunes, who was playing in her first match, took the No. 3 doubles against Camano and sophomore Jamie Minchala.
